I purchased this on auction about Christmas (for $280) but it’s still the aforementioned netbook. I got it for anyone who had a Dell that was four years old and alpha to about-face into sludge. First a few things — I’m actual computer adeptness and looked about for a acceptable two weeks to assuredly adjudge on a netbook and I was accurately searching for something that could cream the web and use MS Appointment if charge be. I didn’t charge to acquirement annihilation abundant or something with a DVD/Blu-Ray drive. This computer is awesome, just accomplish abiding you apperceive what you’re accepting afore you purchase. It comes with Windows 7 Starter as the operating system. If you wish to advancement to the abounding edition, it’s traveling to amount you. If you do wish to upgrade, I advance searching at advance the anamnesis to at atomic 2GB and maybe the cartoon agenda (but that’s absolutely up to you). It comes with a lot of harder drive amplitude and is quick to amount up (especially if you were application something active Vista -it’ll be a big change). My own laptop is a Sony Vaio Z alternation and is lighter than the netbook, but not by much. The netbook is bland and accelerated and comes with three USB ports. This is cool acceptable if you’re application an alien HD, an alien DVD ROM, and accept an ipod acquainted in or something. You don’t get the abounding adaptation of Office, and unless you absolutely charge aggregate on it, I anticipate it’s bigger to download Open Appointment (from [...]) and use that instead. It’s chargeless and isn’t as abundant a blazon of bloatware as appointment can be (it takes up a lot beneath memory).
